The device is truly plug & play. I didn't have to do a specific setup to connect to it. I plugged my encoders, reused my current wiring for my SkyCommander, powered it on then connected to my Palm. Once plugged, I simply did a 2 stars alignment with Astromist then I was able to do 'push to'.
